Cannabis Assistant Cultivator: Job Description:

A Cannabis Assistant Cultivator in the cannabis industry plays a vital role in supporting the overall Sweet Life Canna Company cultivation process, working closely with the Head of Cultivation to ensure healthy plant growth and high-quality yields. 

Job Description

  • Plant Care: Assist with all aspects of cannabis plant care, including cloning, transplanting, feeding, pruning, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays.

  • Environmental Control: Monitor and adjust environmental conditions within grow rooms, such as temperature, humidity, and lighting, to ensure optimal plant health.

  • Pest and Disease Management: Inspect plants for pests and diseases, and assist with implementing pest management programs.

  • Harvesting and Processing: Assist with harvesting, trimming, drying, and packaging of cannabis products.

  • Inventory and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of plant inventory, growth stages, and any treatments applied, adhering to state and local regulations.

  • Sanitation and Maintenance: Ensure a clean and organized cultivation environment by following sanitation protocols and assisting with general maintenance tasks.

  • Compliance: Strictly adhere to all state and local regulations related to cannabis cultivation. 

Salary

The hourly pay is to be $15.00

Requirements

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required. Some positions may prefer candidates with a degree in horticulture or a related field.

  • Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or cannabis cultivation is often preferred but not always required. Many employers are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and passion for the industry.

  • Skills:

    • Plant Care: Knowledge of plant biology, cultivation techniques, pest management, and environmental control systems.

    • Attention to Detail: Meticulous observation of plants, environmental conditions, and record-keeping.

    • Compliance: Understanding of relevant state and local cannabis regulations.

    • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with other team members to achieve cultivation goals.

    • Physical Stamina: The role can be physically demanding, requiring standing for long periods, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
